Urban Decay delights Switzerland!

There are events in life that you will never forget. The launch of Urban Decay in Switzerland is actually one of these ;)

As I've anticipated a couple of weeks ago on my Instagram, now you can finally buy your favourite Urban Decay products in Switzerland on

Or, if you're lucky enough to live in Zurich, from today there's a Urban Decay counter at Manor Banhofstrasse.

For those of you who don't know this brand very well here's a short presentation.

Born in the mid-'90s thank to 2 businesswomen called Sandy Lerner and Wende Zomnir, Urban Decay is the answer to those women who are tired of classic make up looks.
At that time no brand was offering bold and alternative colors, and when in January 1996 Urban Decay came out with its first collection of 10 lipsticks and 12 nail enamels the revolution in the cosmetic industry had just started.
Their success is surely also due to their cruelty free policy, which was a great distinction at that time, and especially today is very important for many consumers.
In 2010 they've launched the most famous palette ever: the Naked 1
Today Urban Decay is one of the most famous and reliable brands in the world.

I'm a huge fan of this brand and there are a couple of their products that are among my most favourites ever. Now I'm going to show you what are (in my opinion) Urban Decay's must haves:

Naked 1 palette

As I've just said this is the most famous eyeshadow palette ever (one is sold every 3 seconds!!)
Don't be scared by the price, you're not going to find anything better when it comes to neutral eyeshadows. The quality is superlative, and the variety of looks you can achieve with this palette is absoltely amazing. It will last you forever!

CHF 63.-

Naked 3 palette

For the same reasons of the Naked 1 you shouldn't miss this palette. This is as amazing as the Naked 1 but with a rose influence. I've just receive it and I can't already live without it!

CHF 63.-

Primer Potion eyeshadow primer

This was the first eyeshadow primer ever invented, and still the best. No creasing, vibran colors, all-day eyeshadow...what else??

CHF 26.-

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

The classic blackest black "Perversion" is one of the most famous black eye pencils. These pencils are longlasting and very easy to use. I also love the double ended version in Darkside/Blackheart for a more brownish/soft look.

Revolution lipstick

This is also one of my UD favourite products, and I've been using it in shade "Naked" for a while now. I never go out without it. These creamy lipsticks are so pigmented and last very long on the lips. The packaging is amazing too!

24/7 Glide-On lip pencil

Perfect complement to the lipsticks these great lip pencils are so buttery and pigmented that you could just wear them alone... I have shade "Naked" Absolute love!

Makeup setting spray

Wheter you want to fix your makeup or damp your brushes for super pigmented and metallic looks this is the solution. It comes in 3 formulas: All Nighter (for all skin types), De-Slick (for oily skin) and Chill (for dry skin). My must have is definitely All Nighter!

CHF 34.-

Ok ladies, these are my personal Urban Decay must haves! If you want to let me know which are yours, leave a comment down below ;)

And these are the UD products that are actually on my wishlist, and I'm looking forward to try them very soon:

For stronger and healthier eyelashes: Manhattan's Supreme Lash Mascara

When I'm not at the gym (quite rarely actually ;) ) I prefer using a non waterproof mascara. This gives me the idea of a less harsh product.
As Manhattan kindly sent me their new Supreme Lash Mascara I was so amazed by its fact sheet that I've started using immediately.

The product features some proud claims:
  • Patented formula with argan oil and new high-defintion brush for volume and care without clumpling
  • Highly pigmented for dramatic colour
  • Lasts the entire day
  • Lashes feel pampered, stay soft and elastic
  • Fast-drying
  • Easy to remove
  • Dermatologically and ophtalmologically tested
  • Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens users

What clearly caught my attention is the Argan Oil contained in this mascara. I've never used one before, and knowing the great properties of this oil I though it might be a very good idea. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and finally I can give you my opinion about it.

First of all let me tell you that I have naturally black, thick but straight eyelashes, therefore I ALWAYS use my eyelash curler before I apply my mascara.

The Supreme Lash Mascara features a silicone brush (my favourite kind of brushes) that easily comb and separate your lashes. The consistency of the product is not too thick or too liquid, therefore it doesn't clump at all.

My opinion about this product is very positive. I find that this mascara makes a big difference on the lashes, especially if you apply 2 coats: amazing!! For a more natural look 1 coat will do the job.

After (left) and before (right)

It will stay in place all day and it is very easy to remove without irritating your eyes.

When it come to Argan Oil, I'm really impressed with the look of my lashes right now, they actually look kind of healtier. If you think that you need a sort of treatment for your stressed lashes (i.e. after removing eyelash extensions, after eyelashes perming, daily use of lash curler) this might be the right solution for you.

Good product at a very good price CHF 11.90
